Lawn Maintenance

We offer weekly mowing services to existing clients with larger lawns, using top grade equipment (mostly commercial Wright mowers with always sharpened blades, and electric trimmers, edgers, and blowers). Our services start at $140 for weekly mowing (up to 10,000 sqft).

One critical task for warm-season grasses (mostly Bermuda and Zoysia in Texas, and some St. Augustine) that many home-owners overlook is spring scalping, where the lawn is “scalped” by cutting it as low as possible. Due to the structure of these grasses (roughly ⅔ brawn stalk, and ⅓ green “leaves”), the initial cut needs to be at <⅔ of your regular cutting height or you will have scalp marks on your grass for entire season (as you will always be cutting down to the brawn stalk). Spring scalping also helps with early green-up as more sun is able to reach down to soil and thatch layer. Contact us for a free estimate.

We also provide reel moving services for discerning clients who value keeping their lawn at proper length and in top shape. There is a common misconception that the lawn needs to be perfectly leveled for reel moving, but the opposite is true as the width (we prefer 25+”) and design of quality modern reel mowers limits scalping. We rarely see a lawn level enough to cut at 1.5” with a rotary mower, but we often see bumpy lawns that cut perfectly well at 0.75” with a reel mower (however, lawns with rocks or debris will destroy reel mowers).
